Each new year poses new beginnings, new opportunities, new challenges or just continuations of old ones. I like to see it as a time to reflect, evaluate and move forward with more purpose, intentionality and focus.
In 2025 John and I are taking a Sabbatical from the farm. We are starting a new plan of letting portions of the land rest each year instead of it all resting this year. Why? Because our sons that farm with us, Joshua & Caleb, felt we should keep supplying produce to the customers and stores that have come to count on us for health giving food. For the same reason the bakery will continue to run, but with less of my personal involvement. God provided the help I needed when I started the business (A young lady who had interned with us on the farm in 2020) she has been with us ever since, working both on the farm and in the bakery. Now God is leading her to East Africa where she will be looking at new horizons for her life. Again God, the best business partner I could have, has brought someone else right to my door who is taking over the management of the bakery. She is a quick learner with many years experience in the kitchen. I am excited about the change of pace for myself in 2025 but also excited that the bakery will still be growing and providing you the healthiest gluten free bread we can. We are excited about the addition of a once a month nationwide shipping day and look forward to see how that will grow.
