About Us
John and I started our lives together teaching at a boarding school for missionaries children in Kenya. After 6 years, 2 children and many lessons learned we returned to the United States. After John completed a year of graduate studies we moved to his parents farm in middle TN where he began teaching in a small 1 room school run by our church. We had some goals and callings we felt God had placed on our hearts for our family and we were not meeting those. So in 1997, after much prayer and seeking God's will, we felt the call to leave our employment and trust God for the unknown (to us) plan He had for our family. It was a faith building experience and a journey that taught us so many lessons of faith and trust.
It was about a year and a half later in the fall of 1998 that God led us to start Bountiful Blessings Farm, and on this fertile soil our family has grown, learned, been stretched and come forth stronger in faith and trust. We started the farm as a family of 5 grew to 7, and now God is multiplying us, we have 3 wonderful married in children and 5 grandchildren.
Over the years I started a couple businesses to try to help make ends meet (making soaps and body products & "Pam's Pantry" a frozen vegan entree business) both well ahead of their time. But, although done imperfectly with my own human frailties, I always felt the call to give my children my best efforts and not to let other business endeavors get in the way of motherhood so neither of those businesses lasted too long. We were very busy on the farm and that was our life. The life that brought our family together doing hard things, conquering real problems, and finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. Then in 2020 I started making gluten free bread...the demand was there...the children were grown...and I felt God opening the doors. The bakery has been a great addition to our farm and expands the call God place on my husbands heart so many years ago - to serve! The bakery is growing slowly because I am committed to the same things I have always have been...God first, my husband, children and grandchildren, church family, farm and bakery customers. In other words relationships! That is really the essence of life, the true value and where I find my deepest fulfillment. So that's a little about me and if you become a customer of our farm or bakery I look forward to the possibility of getting to know you a little better too.
